~iT's My McDoNaLd'S...~

*Jingle* ~~ "It's my McDonald's..."

This is one of our favourite McDonald's... Make a guess where is it... Is it the a) Zoo? b) Bird park? or c) Botanic Garden???

It's actually none of the above!!! Although it has lush greenery surronding the restaurant, it's not anywhere near the above named locations... It's actually near queensway, located at this place called Ridout...

If you still remember many years ago, there's this television commercial whereby this kindergarten teacher brings her little students to the zoo... But then there came a downpour, and they had to run to McDonald's to take shelter... They then started to have their meal there... And when the rain stopped, they walked down the bridge, going "xiao ya zi *little ducklings*, quack, quack, quack..." So i guess, many had the illusion that this restaurant is located at the zoo... But, no... it's NOT!!! See, the power of media...

Although this picture was taken about 2 weeks ago, that wasn't our first trip there... I first brought bao bei there about 3 years back... She was very amazed and surprised that there's actually such a nice outlet here, right where it doesn't seem that it will belong to... Dining here, it gives you a feeling that you're dining in the great outdoors, in a farm-like environment, where you dun even feel like you're in Singapore!!

We had these for breakfast.. 2 sets of hotcakes, a sausage Mcmuffin, hash brown, hot tea for me, hot milo for bao bei, & a free Dino toy from the happy meal set...

The pond area... It has many, many, many, tortoises inside... And they were huge!!!

This was just a small fraction of the total population... Most of them were bigger than the size of a human's palm...
